Occasionally, when a section analysis is being done, it is possible to introduce reinforcements that might want to be considered but that will not be placed that way on the actual site. In this case, it might be interesting for the user not to give information of the crack opening as it would not be a true representative of reality.
There might also be occasions when the client (such as the one that caused the writing of this article) simply does not want the crack opening to appear for some other reason.
For the crack opening not to appear below the tension diagram, one must go to ‘Analysis parameters’ and place a value of 0 on everything on the tab corresponding to Crack opening.
Consequently, when the analysis is run, the value o wk no longer appears on the diagram:
At this point, it is important to highlight that, because FAGUS allows us to introduce the reinforcements exactly as they will be placed in reality, it will always be more interesting to do so, taking full advantage of the potential of the program, and it will not be necessary to do the previous process to choose the placement of the reinforcements that will meet all the requirements of the crack opening specified by the standards used.
