In many occasions we have received queries from our clients with regards to when the results associated with cracking are carried out in an analysis in FAGUS.
There are various reasons why FAGUS cannot show the data associated with cracking. Not reaching the cracking moment is not one of them, because if in the analysis parameters we have chosen a behavioural model for concrete with tensile strength and the moment we have entered is lower than the cracking moment, there will be results for cracking but with a crack opening of zero (unless we find ourselves in one of the cases explained below).
If we have introduced the reinforcements uniformly distributed instead of being defined by bars (which is not the same as introducing the reinforcement bar by bar), we will not obtain the cracking results because the program is not capable of obtaining the equivalent diameter.
- If the height is too small (or rather, if the reinforcement is too big) you can find detailed information in the net article: ADD link (slabs with low height)
