The CUBUS applications require a permanent connection to a hardware key of type "Hardlock". Irrespective of your installation type (stand-alone or application server installation) you need to install drivers and a service to access the remote HArdlock key.
Modern remote Hardlock keys delivered by CUBUS are green USB keys, displaying a red light when plugged in and ready.
A.- HARDLOCK KEYS SERVER INSTALLATION
N.B.: Administrator privileges are necessary.
A floating licenses management utility, called "HL-Server" and running as a service on the Hardlock keys server, keeps track of the number of CUBUS applications running. The drivers have to be installed before the installation of the service. At the end of the installation, the utility will try to create the requested firewall pinhole. After installation, the service will be automatically started and it will also be configured to be automatically started at boot time.
Depending wether the CUBUS applications are installed on the Hardlock keys server or not, the installation procedures differs.
- On a computer where CUBUS applications have already been installed.
- On a dedicated Hardlock keys server.
